Wedding season is nearing, which means that bachelor and bachelorette season is right around the corner. If you are a maid of honor or best man, you are probably starting to think about what you are going to do to make the weekend the most fun for your bride or groom. It can seem overwhelming and daunting planning a bach party with so many moving pieces and the expectation or desire to make it the most amazing time for everyone. I totally understand and as a party lover and repeat MOH/bridesmaid I know a thing or two about bach parties. Here is my guide for planning the sexiest and most fun bach ever.
Know Your Bride/Groom
The most important step for a successful bach party is making sure it is in line with the bride or groom themselves. You have to know their personality, the things they like, and their sense of humor for it to be a good bach party. Crafting a bach party around what you like and enjoy is not going to do you any good if you and your bride/groom aren’t similar in most ways. If you have known your bride or groom for a while, then you more than likely have a good understanding of what they enjoy and find funny. The key is to tie in those special quirks or interests into the bach party. If they are avid fans of a sports team, you can tie that into a scavenger hunt while out at a bar. You can require them to find a fan of your bride/groom’s sports team or have them scream the team chant in the bar. Other ways of integrating things your bride//groom likes is by having a themed night for it over the bach party. If your bride/groom loves Nicolas Cage you can have a Nic Night, where everyone dresses as a character played by Nicolas Cage or if they are die hard about their favorite color, having everyone wear that color for an outing. If they are more on the funny and raunchy side you might even consider a themed stripper, but only if you KNOW your bride/groom will find it funny and enjoy it.
Consider Everyone Attending
The bach party is about the bride/groom and that should be your focus, but you do have to keep in mind everyone that is attending. One person in a bad or poor mood can quickly kill the party vibes. Making sure that you consider everyone, be it making sure there are snacks that everyone will enjoy, a diversified playlist for the weekend, or activities that everyone is able to participate in will make a world of a difference. It is also important to consider everyone when gagging the sexiness of the bach party. Not everyone in a group enjoys the same level of sexual related things which is okay, we are all different sexually, and you want to be mindful of that with the bach party.
Stay on Theme
If your bride/groom has chosen a theme you are going to want to stick to it throughout the entirety of the bach party. This doesn’t mean that it’s all cowboy boots and rodeo 24/7, but rather that there is a twang of country throughout the entire party. If you are wanting to do traditional bach party things like a “guess the panty” then you can have them all wrap them in something cowboy-esque or if it is a day at the golf course having everyone go by a cowboy name or even wear bolo ties with their polos. There are so many ways to incorporate a theme that aren’t over the top or gaudy, you just have to get a little creative.
Get Out of the Box
While traditional bach party activities are a good time you can really make it a fun experience by thinking out of the box. You can do this in a few different ways. Some non-traditional entertainment, like a paint and sip class with a nude model, a masseuse that comes to you all, or even having a themed 5K if your bride/groom is a runner are great option. Another way to get out of the box is with decorations. You could go the traditional boob/penis-centric decorations, but if you want to throw a bach party unlike any other choosing other decorations is a great way to go. Some decoration ideas that have been more popular in recent years include “Last Rodeo,” “Last Disco,” “Poker Night,” and “The Great Outdoors.” Each of those have very distinct decorations that would fit the theme that don’t look like any other bach party but do have a lot of potential for making it sexy and more personalized to the brie/groom.
Make It Funny
Just like with sex, laughter and humor should be a part of the bach party. Now this doesn’t mean that you have to book a standup comedian for the party, but there should be some funny aspects. Depending on the bride/groom’s humor, you could have a roast, have everyone dress up as their soon to be spouse, plan a talent show, or even have everyone dress to correlate when they met the bride/groom (this is a really funny option if there is a good mix of people from different times in the bride/groom’s life). You can also make it funny by throwing it back to younger days by randomly icing everyone at the party.
If you really want to make sure the bach party is great for the bride/groom and sexy you can also organize a white elephant gift exchange specifically of sex toys so that everyone leaves the weekend with something to make things more fun once they get back home. You could even put sex toys in the goodie bags for the weekend if it is within budget. If you all want to spoil the bride/groom you can have them create a Wishlist on our website and have everyone purchase something off of that.
